    A FLEXIBLE ROUTINE

Use the schedule as support, not pressure

A visual schedule helps children know what is happening now and what comes next. Keep the routine short enough to scan, include breaks, and change it when energy, appointments, or learning needs change.

    • Show the schedule before the first activity.
    • Point to the current task and preview the next one.
    • Check off completed steps without requiring perfect timing.
    • Offer limited choices within the routine when appropriate.
    • Use rewards only when they fit your family—not as a required feature.

    Designed for planning and independence

The maker supports sequencing, transitions, time awareness, and shared planning. It does not diagnose executive-function needs or replace individualized support from a qualified professional.

For children who do not read yet, review each card aloud and pair the printed label with the simple visual code. Adults should adjust task length, movement, sensory demands, and break frequency.

    Schedule maker questions

Can I rearrange the task cards on a phone?

Yes. Each selected task has accessible up and down buttons, so dragging is not required.

Should every minute of the day be scheduled?

No. A useful visual schedule shows the main sequence and transitions while leaving room for flexible play, rest, and unexpected needs.

Is choice time required as a reward?

No. The optional row is off by default. Choice time can be part of a balanced routine without being conditional on perfect completion.

Is the schedule or name stored online?

No. The schedule is assembled in the browser and is not uploaded or saved by the website.
